Rooibos Matcha Latte Recipe

We didn’t think a latte could get more comforting—then we tried this.

Introducing: the Rooibos Matcha Latte.

A soothing mix of earthy BossMatcha and naturally caffeine-free rooibos, lightly sweetened with honey or maple syrup. It’s smooth, vibrant, and has that distinctive South African heart-warming touch.

This is the kind of drink that feels like a cosy blanket on a chilly Highveld evening—nourishing, uplifting, and just a little bit special.

Ingredients

  •  1-2 Rooibos tea bags (or 1–2 tsp loose leaf rooibos)
  • 200 ml milk of choice (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1-2 tsp honey or maple syrup (to taste)
  • 1 tsp BossMatcha ceremonial matcha
  • 60 ml hot water (60-80°C, never boiling)
  • Ice (optional, for an iced version)

Method

  1. Warm your milk gently in a saucepan with the rooibos tea bags and your sweetener of choice. Let it steep for 3-5 minutes, then remove the bags and allow the milk to cool slightly.
  2. Sift and whisk your BossMatcha with hot water until smooth and frothy.
  3. Fill a glass with ice (if making an iced version), then pour in the cooled rooibos-infused milk.
  4. Top with the whisked matcha and give it a gentle stir.

Delicate, aromatic, and totally addictive. A proudly South African take on a matcha favourite.
